Our Bohol Wedding from Two Years Ago
Sunday, April 08, 2018It was a rainy day today in Singapore, but that didn't dampen my spirits. Two years ago on this day, my husband and I got married in the sunny and beautiful island of Panglao, Bohol. Nothing much has changed from that day on, except maybe for gaining xx pounds since the wedding (lol!).
Everything happened so fast for the last two years, but one thing's for sure. I can't stop thanking Him for giving me a loving, caring, patient, loyal, thoughtful, understanding, and funny husband. Sure, we have our ups and downs and we go through petty fights, but for most of our lives together, we're always thrilled to be in each other's waking moments, making sure to annoy each other as long as we live.
My husband isn't big on grand gestures. He's not the type who buys me super expensive gifts, or composes poems for me, or writes me love letters (he writes codes for me though hahaha!), but he's someone who does the everyday act of love: the little things that mean everything.
He kisses my forehead before he leaves the house and when he arrives from work. He checks on me and makes sure I eat breakfast. He brings home a supply of kitchen towels without me having to remind him. He wipes off my makeup at night, at times when I'm too tired to take care of myself and just collapse on the bed. He puts up with me and my hormones when I go through PMS. He NEVER hits me. He carries my heavy stuff even if I can carry them myself. There are many small things my husband does for me and the list is endless.
Last year I realized how strong my husband is and how he carried me under his care when I was at the lowest point in my life (so far). I know he worried so much, but he never let that show whenever I was around. He was my only source of strength for months and he never left my side, despite me facing uncertainties every single day.
I'm writing this entry for my husband because he deserves a spotlight for every achievement and every battle I won. He's the warmest and kindest soul I know.. and I pray his dreams will unfold one after the other soon.
